Goshikinuma Walking Trail

The 3.6-km-long hiking trail is fun for beginners and takes 1 hour and 10 minutes to walk. The trail takes hikers around the mystical five lakes and ponds of Goshikinuma, or the "Five Colored Marshes", including Lake Bishamon. There is little elevation change, making it an easy walk.

Route1
- From Inawashiro Station on the JR Banetsu West Line, take the Bandai Toto Bus toward Kyukamura Hibara for 25 min. and get off at Goshikinuma Iriguchi.
Route2
- Exit at the Inawashiro Bandai Kogen IC and take Japan National Route 459 for 25 min. Park your vehicle in one of the parking areas and return using the bus. ※Both Goshikinuma Iriguchi and Urabandai Kogen Station have regular bus departures as well as taxis stationed there in the summer.

Point
- While the trail is wide and easy to walk, caution is needed due to scattered rocks and mud caused by rain. In addition, every year, snow remains on the trail until late April, making it difficult to walk.
